Lidding Film

Lidding Film is typically used as a closure for plastic trays, cups, or containers that hold products like meat. cheese, yogurt, soup, and many other food products. Heat resistance is important in lidding applications due to high sealing temperatures. Material stiffness is also important for precise registration and clean cutting. Lidding Films can come in various sealing and opening mechanisms: lock seal, hard peel, easy peel, and burst peel.

Pack ‘N’ Cycle EL grades are preferred for Lidding laminates because of their dimensional stability and superior tear strength. High tear strength in Lidding Films prevents skeletal scrap handling problems in the packaging operation in addition to allowing trouble-free opening by consumers. Finally, Pack ‘N’ Cycle EL-based laminates are fully recyclable in the PE waste stream.
