Question 1: We have creases or wrinkles in the central drum zone.
Solution: Increase tension level during unwinding process (Recommended 1.5-2.5 N/cm).
Question 2: The ink does not adhere properly to the film.
Solutions:
- Check the film’s surface tension. If it is below 38 Dyne/cm, use Corona treatment refresher.
- If you are using a Corona treatment refresher adjust the Corona treatment refreshment power in relation to the machine speed.
- Verify that you are using an ink appropriate for polyethylene film.
- For metallized film use primer.
- Check the ratio of drying zone temperature in relation to machine speed.
Question 3: The ink in the drying zone is not dry enough.
Solutions:
- Check the air velocity.
- Check the ratio of drying zone temperature in relation to machine speed.
Question 4: The film surface is uneven after the drying zone.
Solution: This may be caused from overheating. Check the ratio of drying zone temperature in relation to machine speed.
Question 5: There are static electricity problems.
Solutions:
- Check that the machine is grounded properly.
- Eliminate static electricity by using anti-static devices.
Question 6: The film has wrinkles when it enters the printing zone.
Solution: Use a spreading reel before the central cylinder.
Question 7: The printed areas on the film are elevated, and may cause cutting problems.
Solution: Decrease tension level during rewinding process (Recommended 0.75-1.2 N/cm).
